Find Yourself a Hideaway
Find yourself
a hideaway,
And go there for a rest;
When you are back in action,
You’ll function at your best.
Just come aside from your chores
And meditate and pray;
Your soul will be replenished
With new strength for the day.
You may think your work can’t wait,
But put it to the test;
Find yourself a hideaway
And go there for a rest.
Take time for worship and praise –
Strengthen the inner man,
Your spirit will be renewed
As you rest in God’s hand.
There, in your closet of prayer,
A perfect peace you’ll find;
Communing with your Father
Soothes both the heart and mind.
So when you become anxious –
Overloaded with care,
Find Yourself a Hideaway…
Your Lord will meet you there.
"Enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut the door,
pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth
in secret shall reward thee openly."
